Kevsoft RISC OS Software news

I have created a new application called kDraw for drawing random numbers.

It is ideal for things like Christmas draws etc, and it picks random numbers between two selected numbers anywhere between 1 and 99,999 and tested with RISC OS 4.39 and 4.42 but should work with most versions of RISC OS.

I recommend a screen display of 640 x 480 with any colour depth you prefer.

It has English, German and Dutch instructions with the translations provided by google..

I have updated MP data+ to version 1.01

New in this version is the addition of fields for Position, Department and Since.

Position is the job title e.g Prime Minister, shadow minister for defence, Department is the department they work in e.g Treasury, Defence, Committee for Justice, and Since is the date they started that job.

This software requires wget and a working in internet connection.

To do

• Clear the scrap after use
• Have a photo of the MP (if one exists)
• Have another window open up with the latest debates of that MP
• Get rid of special html characters e.g amp;

Plus more as and when I think of them or if others suggest them.

What it does is you enter your post code and it then gets information about your member of parliament.

The details it gets are

• Name
• Constituency
• Party
• Date they entered the house
• Majority
• Swing to lose seat
• Debates spoke in last year
• Written questions asked last year
• Written answers answered last year
• Date of birth

Plus the new data added.

Compatibility
This application should be compatible with all version so of RISC OS but has only been tested with 4.39 and 4.42
